The Dance Connection is an 8-day non-profit outreach program that uses dance to teach 30 selected students from disadvantaged areas in Huntsville problem solving skills, social cooperation, and self expression. Students are taught a variety of basic dance technique, dance vocabulary, and dance history. The goals of the program include providing an opportunity for students that may not otherwise have the funding to pursue dance classes, as well as to connect the mind, the body, and the emotional self. |
